APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONDUCTING SECURING FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS A system and method are disclosed for conducting secure electronic transactions using dual-authentications. A secure server stores security information for a plurality of users and authorizes transactions being conducted by these users. A user computer system having a trusted platform module is used for storing security information relating to at least one user account. Protected environments are created to facilitate secure connections based on at least the security information stored in the trusted platform module. Transactions between the user/electronic merchants and between the user/secure server are conducted within protected environments. When a user conducts an electronic transaction with an electronic merchant, the transaction is authenticated by the secure server before can be completed.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS USING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE An apparatus for effecting commercial transactions with a server using a transaction card via a communication device is provided. The apparatus includes a transaction device coupled with the communication device for capturing information from the transaction card and a controller for converting the captured card information into an encrypted audio signal and for transmitting the audio signal to the communication device. The communication device delivers the audio signal to the server for processing the commercial transaction.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS USING A COMMUNICATION DEVICE An apparatus for effecting commercial transactions between an input device and a remote transaction server using a transaction card, said apparatus comprising: an input device for capturing information from the transaction card; a controller for converting the captured card information into a signal having an analog audio format suitable for transmission to an analog hands-free jack of a mobile communication device; and a communication link for coupling said input device to an analog hands-free jack of a mobile communication device for the transmission of said analog-audio-format signals there between; wherein when said input device captures the card information, said controller converts the card information into said analog-audio-format signal and transmits said converted signal via said communication link to said mobile communication device; and wherein said mobile communication device automatically transmits the captured card information to the remote transaction server and receives transaction validation information from said remote transaction server.

APPARATUS FOR AND METHOD OF SECURE ATM DEBIT CARD AND CREDIT CARD PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS VIA THE INTERNET The present invention is directed to a combination software and/or hardware system that provides consumers and merchants with a secure method for making and accepting credit card and ATM card payments over the Internet. Using various software and/or hardware implementations, the system operates by: 1) creating (at the consumer’s Internet access device) a Data Encryption Standard (DES) encrypted Personal Identification Number (PIN) Block meeting American National Standards Institute (ANSI) X9.8 and Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) network requirements (as a result of the consumer entering their PIN number and encryption automatically taking place); 2) using additional layer(s) of encryption (also performed at the consumer’s Internet access device) to place the PIN block and card information in a public key/private key encrypted financial payment transaction data block (“FP Block”); 3) transmitting the FP Block to the merchant, along with any necessary product or service order information, which may be transmitted over the Internet encrypted or in the clear according to the implementation method chosen by the system software at the merchant’s web site; 4) software at the merchant location then forwards the FP Block to a secure transaction management system, where the FP Block is decrypted using a decryption algorithm matching that used by the software at the consumer’s Internet access device. The financial data is then re-formatted for transmission to the appropriate transaction processing network, and forwarded to the payment service processor accordingly. The present invention is independent of the encryption algorithm(s) used, and may be implemented with any number of encryption algorithms.
